In 2016 we completed work on a luxury train that runs from Northern to Southern Ireland. With 8 sleeping cabins, 2 dining cars and an observation car; our challenges included bespoke lighting features, carpets, and fixed joineries. Items needed to comply with strict rolling stock regulations, which are wildly different from those of most land-based projects.

This rare opportunity of a turnkey project for rolling stock expanded our confidence exponentially. Which has enabled us to take on more ‘’first-time’’ design projects.  In 2016, we completed a distinguished project involving the design and outfitting of a luxury train operating between Northern and Southern Ireland. The train comprises eight sleeping cabins, two dining cars, and an observation car. We faced the challenge of incorporating bespoke lighting features, custom carpets, and fixed joineries that reflect Irish culture while adhering to the stringent rolling stock regulations, which differ significantly from those of land-based projects.

This rare opportunity to deliver a turnkey project within the rolling stock sector greatly enhanced our confidence and capabilities. It has allowed us to take on more turnkey projects within the luxury design sector, further establishing our expertise in delivering exceptional, high-end solutions.

These projects were commissioned through JPA Design with Ju-Wei Chen as lead designer.
