Jeanette’s work captures movement and energy with a distinct vibrancy. Best known for her dynamic cityscape drawings, she has recently turned her focus to the world of horse racing, capturing its inherent energy. Her pieces are often rapid, expressive sketches in charcoal or fluid monotypes, where overlapping marks and continual reworking give rise to a palpable sense of motion.

Born in Lancashire in 1961, Jeanette studied Fine Art (BA Hons) at Liverpool Polytechnic from 1980-83, followed by postgraduate painting at the Royal Academy Schools from 1984-87, and an MA in printmaking at the Royal College of Art from 1987-89. During her studies, she was awarded several prestigious scholarships, including the John Moores, Henry Moore, and Richard Ford scholarships.

Jeanette has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions, including multiple showings at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, as well as the Hunting Group, Drawings For All, Cleveland Drawing Biennale, and Jerwood Drawing. She has received multiple awards, such as from the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Lynn Painter-Stainers, Discerning Eye, Hunting Group, Drawings For All, and Jerwood Drawing. Her work is represented in various public, corporate, and private collections.
