2024

100 x 100cm no Frame, Mixed Media

£5580

Aleksandra Niemczyk is an abstract painter based in Blackheath/Greenwich, London, known for her vibrant non-figurative paintings created using mixed media techniques. Drawing inspiration from modernist abstract expressionism and color theory, she deconstructs forms from her surroundings into abstract elements, reconfiguring them into balanced compositions that evoke impressions rather than narratives.

This painting is part of a series inspired by Japanese textile art and explores the meaning of pigments used in ancient folk textiles. In this particular piece, Niemczyk investigates the subtle differences between traditional natural pigments and contemporary synthetic ones, creating a dialogue between past and present through her abstract compositions.
