In the past, the artist's practice cantered around the exploration of themes such as family dynamics, our connection to animals, and the intricacies of memory, employing simple materials like oil paint. As time unfolded, a shift occurred, marked by an inclination towards experimentation with diverse mediums such as encaustic wax, sand, and plaster. This adventurous approach became integral to the artist's journey of discovery, allowing for the exploration of preferred media and the exploration of unique mark-making possibilities. 

In 2019, following a sojourn to the southern regions of France, a series of paintings emerged, predominantly featuring the color blue. Concurrently, the artist received a commission to craft a sizable five by two-meter canvas for a gentleman whose son grappled with a rare illness. This deeply affecting experience prompted a profound introspection into the themes of "Life and Death," catalyzing a scholarly inquiry into Buddhism, Taoism, and Western philosophy, enriching the artist's creative vision and thematic exploration. 

Presently, the artist endeavours to manifest a distinct essence of tactile creation, characterized by a deliberate lack of stringent control, facilitating an organic interplay between bodily gestures and the natural environment. The resultant oeuvre occupies a liminal space between abstraction and figuration, suggesting forms without fully committing to them. Working in thematic sequences, the artist clusters paintings into cohesive groups, perpetually striving to chart unexplored territories and evolve beyond the bounds of current visibility.

What inspires your art, and how do you bring those ideas to life? 

I draw my inspiration from the vivid world of my imagination, deeply rooted in my inner thoughts and emotions. My creative process is about translating these abstract ideas onto the canvas in a way that is not confined by rigidity or dullness. Instead, I strive to make my work lively and engaging, a true reflection of my inner world. Achieving this requires continuous experimentation and a commitment to gradual improvement, constantly pushing the boundaries of my craft to bring my visions to life. 

Which of your works holds the most meaning for you, and why? 

I'm a bit of an odd person, so I don’t tend to dwell on my past works. I always feel that what I’m currently creating is the best, but that sense of satisfaction is fleeting. After a few days, new ideas start to emerge, and I begin to wonder if a different approach, medium, or technique might make it even more interesting. Perhaps artists are never truly satisfied with the present; there’s always a yearning for a breakthrough. This constant pursuit of something greater is what drives me the most in my creative process. 

How has your artistic style evolved, and what challenges have you overcome? 

Creating art is a challenging and lengthy journey. It requires continuous dedication to gradually accumulate experience and insights. Throughout this process, I have faced many challenges, including technical difficulties and self-doubt. Whenever I encounter these obstacles, I try to approach them from different perspectives and listen to my inner voice. This not only helps my artistic style mature but also strengthens my conviction in pursuing the path of art.
